Need help from one of our Collaborative Partners?

Creating a more collaborative construction industry

Call it what you will, building partnerships, collaborative working or helping each other, the industry relies on strong connections to get things done. Although this is very true from a physical construction perspective, this isn't what this is about as there are much better organisations that help with this kinda stuff.

THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!

We are building a network (not in an ugly - enter a room, don't make eye contact, head for the coffee station and hopefully no one will try and 'chat to you' type of way) of individuals and organisations that genuinely want to build a collaborative industry by getting involved in each others (off-site) projects.

This isn’t about tendering, contracting or sub-contracting. It’s all about collectively using your expertise to help others and, in turn, help the industry.

Peter Sumpton collaborative partners | buildDifferent | Construction Marketing | UKo

Aside from all the damn good marketing services clients are benefiting from, we are passionate about the construction industry right now and way into the future.

Change is inevitable and should be embraced, but change can be difficult to achieve as we all like a bit of security around what the future holds. But there have been more changes within the construction industry than you may think (and none of them happened overnight. It usually takes time and a systematic shift before a change becomes mainstream):

With this in mind, buildDifferent are developing a database of individuals that want to support the organisations, associations and individuals to help:

Complex calculations can be done in an instant.

Electrical tools replacing manual tools.

Digital technology such as 3D printing, robotics and off-site construction.

Speed of manufacturing - from man to machine.

Elaborate designs becoming a reality through better engineering and new materials.

Health and safety procedures and regulations.

Create a more collaborative construction industry.

Engage and help others within the industry, for the good of the industry.

How does it work?

(concentrate now, it's really complex)

#1

Sign-up (telling us your skills and expertise as a company or an individual).

#2

We’ll be in touch when an opportunity to collaborate comes along. On average, this takes around 1-2 months so if the phone isn't ringing off the hook there’s no need to panic.

#3

There is no 3, that’s it!

Who is this for?

We're always on the lookout for amazing people and amazing companies to join this collaborative effort. So, who is this for?

Anyone that wants to see a more collaborative construction industry, not for financial gain, but for the good of the industry. This is all reciprocal. You join, you collaborate, and you make a difference for others and the industry in general.

If you’d like to be part of the gang we would really like to chat with you about how we can link you up with the right collaborators.

Being a guest on a podcast or webinar.

Hosting a joint event.

Create a joint group that others can join and benefit from.

Providing mentorship.

Sharing facilities or letting others use yours.

Working together to solve a problem or produce something of use - i.e. writing a book, industry research, data analysis.

Helping small, local businesses that need the support.

Still unsure?

Here are just a few examples of how our gang of experts have helped others:
